WELCOME TO
We have been finding electrical faults for 25 years and we bring that to every callout in Yapton. Lines are open 24/7, and 85% of emergencies are resolved on the first visit.
Most callouts here begin with lighting circuits with no protective conductor at the fittings. Rather than swapping parts and hoping, we test circuit by circuit until the cause is isolated, then explain what we have found before doing the work.
Typical jobs across Yapton run from power loss and tripping and RCD tripping through to fuse box repairs, and where a board is beyond economic repair we can quote for consumer unit replacement.
Every job leaves with the circuit tested and the result recorded, and certification is issued to suit the work carried out.
We will fault find and resolve the issue if it can be resolved on the spot. With 25 years experience in fault finding we believe there isn't an issue which we can't solve. Some issues may need a revisit due to the deterioration of the cabling, and where that happens we will always explain your options clearly before any further work begins.

FAQ'S
All of our services are backed by our 100% satisfaction guarantee and delivered by our qualified electricians.
Yes. We work across Barnham, Littlehampton and Bognor Regis and the rest of West Sussex, at any hour.
Switch that circuit off at the board, stop using it and call us. Heat and smell mean a connection is failing, which is the kind of job covered under burning smells and dangerous electrics, and we treat it as an emergency.
We work on the fixed installation rather than appliances, but part of the job is proving which of the two has failed, so you are not buying a new cooker to fix a circuit fault.
Yes. Flickering usually means a loose connection somewhere, and loose connections generate heat. It is much cheaper to find it early than after it has burnt an accessory out. See lighting faults.
Treat it as urgent if there is any heat, discolouration or smell at the board or an accessory. Otherwise it normally means one circuit has failed, and we can trace it with electrical fault finding.
Two things drive the callouts we get from Yapton. The first is cables buried under decades of topped-up loft insulation. The second is simply time: cable, accessories and boards all have a service life, and a great deal of what is still in use is past it.
Together they produce lighting circuits with no protective conductor at the fittings. It is rarely mysterious once the circuits are tested.
We make safe, test, explain and repair, in that order, at any hour of the day or night.
…and if we can resolve and fix or (identify the issue if the circuit needs rewiring). The cost ends there.
We have structured our pricing in 4 easy categories, so the customer and ourselves understand the costs involved.

YAPTON
Yapton sits between Arundel and the coast with substantial modern housing, and that shapes the electrical work here more than anything else. Cables buried under decades of topped-up loft insulation is the factor that shapes most of the emergency work we are called out for.
The housing runs to Victorian and Edwardian houses near the station, inter-war semis and post-war and modern estates, and each was wired to the standards of its day. Additions made since, from extensions to garden supplies, are often where the weak point turns out to be.
Empty periods do their own damage. Property that stands unused, whether between lets or over a winter, tends to hide small faults until everything is switched on at once.
The result is predictable enough: lighting circuits with no protective conductor at the fittings. Testing turns that from a guess into a known circuit and a known cause.
Landlords have a further duty: in England a rented home needs an EICR at least every five years and before a new tenancy. All work is tested to BS 7671.
For anything that is not an emergency, we book planned work around you, including inspections, board changes and remedial work following a report.
We also cover Barnham, Littlehampton and Bognor Regis.
