WELCOME TO
From a single dead circuit to a whole property without power, our engineers work through Bolney and the surrounding West Sussex villages around the clock, making the installation safe first and repairing it properly second.
We are called into Bolney homes and businesses at all hours. Domestic work is the bulk of it, but shops, offices and units get the same response, including out-of-hours cover so trading is not lost.
Jobs run from lighting faults and RCD tripping to power loss and tripping, with EICR safety certificates for landlords who need the installation documented properly.
If the fault turns out to sit with the supply rather than your installation, we will tell you that too, and explain who needs to attend.
We will fault find and resolve the issue if it can be resolved on the spot. With 25 years experience in fault finding we believe there isn't an issue which we can't solve. Some issues may need a revisit due to the deterioration of the cabling, and where that happens we will always explain your options clearly before any further work begins.

FAQ'S

No. There is no call-out charge and our rates are the same evenings, weekends and bank holidays. The price is agreed with you before any work starts.
Treat it as urgent if there is any heat, discolouration or smell at the board or an accessory. Otherwise it normally means one circuit has failed, and we can trace it with electrical fault finding.
For an emergency, someone needs to let us in and show us what happened. After that you are welcome to leave us to it. We will walk you through what we found before we go.
Yes. Part P registered and City & Guilds qualified, insured to £2,000,000, with all work carried out and tested to BS 7671.
It means the fault is still present. Forcing a device back on is not safe. Leave it off, keep that circuit isolated and call us, and see power loss and tripping.
Emergencies in Bolney usually start with a fault in an oast or barn conversion that drops the main house too. Behind it is often homes off the gas network running electric heating and immersion circuits, or a board never split into enough circuits for the way the property is used now.
Converted oast houses and barns are common here, and in those the loss of one circuit can take out far more than it should. Testing establishes exactly where the fault sits.
Repairs are carried out to BS 7671, with certification to match the work done.
…and if we can resolve and fix or (identify the issue if the circuit needs rewiring). The cost ends there.

BOLNEY
Bolney is a village of period houses set among farmland. What that means underneath the plaster is a set of installations from very different decades. Homes off the gas network running electric heating and immersion circuits is the factor that shapes most of the emergency work we are called out for.
The housing runs to tile-hung and timber-framed cottages, converted oast houses and barns and post-war infill around the older core, and each was wired to the standards of its day. Additions made since, from extensions to garden supplies, are often where the weak point turns out to be.
There is also the question of what has been added since. Extensions, garden offices, hot tubs and car chargers all land on installations that were designed long before any of them existed.
Most of it arrives as a fault in an oast or barn conversion that drops the main house too. Once the circuits are tested the cause is usually obvious, and usually fixable there and then.
Landlords have a further duty: in England a rented home needs an EICR at least every five years and before a new tenancy. All work is tested to BS 7671.
If you are buying, selling or letting here, an inspection is worth having before it becomes urgent. It is far cheaper to find a deteriorating circuit on a report than at two in the morning.
We also cover Cuckfield, Handcross and Hurstpierpoint.
