WELCOME TO
We have been finding electrical faults for 25 years and we bring that to every callout in Goring-by-Sea. Lines are open 24/7, and 85% of emergencies are resolved on the first visit.
Electrical emergencies in Goring-by-Sea rarely arrive at a convenient time, which is why we run a 24 hour electrician service. Calls are answered by someone who can send an engineer, not by an answering service.
On site we test rather than guess. Common work here includes RCD tripping, socket repairs and lighting faults, and anything involving heat or scorching is treated as urgent under burning smells and dangerous electrics.
Every job leaves with the circuit tested and the result recorded, and certification is issued to suit the work carried out.
We will fault find and resolve the issue if it can be resolved on the spot. With 25 years experience in fault finding we believe there isn't an issue which we can't solve. Some issues may need a revisit due to the deterioration of the cabling, and where that happens we will always explain your options clearly before any further work begins.

Always. The price is agreed up front and does not change unless the job does, in which case we stop and talk to you first.
Yes, across West Sussex, including out-of-hours tenant callouts. In England a rented home needs EICR safety certificates at least every five years and before a new tenancy.
Yes. If you have a specific problem we test that circuit and report on it. A full EICR safety certificates is a separate, more thorough piece of work and we will tell you if it is the better option.
Often it is. Homes without gas run heaters and immersions on an off-peak circuit, and when a timeswitch, contactor or the off-peak supply fails the heaters look broken when they are not. Worth testing the circuit before replacing anything.
Goring-by-Sea is inter-war and post-war housing on the western side of Worthing. Ageing rewires with cables run under later loft insulation is the background to a good deal of the work we do here, and storage heater and immersion circuits failing overnight is often the first sign that something needs attention.
Property in Goring-by-Sea tends to include post-war estate housing and purpose-built flats and retirement blocks, and each generation of wiring fails in its own way. Older installations may have no protective conductor at the lighting points; later ones can put everything behind a single RCD.
Every callout starts with a visual inspection and circuit testing, and 85% are resolved on the first visit.

GORING-BY-SEA
Goring-by-Sea is inter-war and post-war housing on the western side of Worthing. What that means underneath the plaster is a set of installations from very different decades. Ageing rewires with cables run under later loft insulation is the factor that shapes most of the emergency work we are called out for.
The housing runs to post-war estate housing, purpose-built flats and retirement blocks and chalet bungalows with rooms in the roof, and each was wired to the standards of its day. Additions made since, from extensions to garden supplies, are often where the weak point turns out to be.
Empty periods do their own damage. Property that stands unused, whether between lets or over a winter, tends to hide small faults until everything is switched on at once.
Most of it arrives as storage heater and immersion circuits failing overnight. Once the circuits are tested the cause is usually obvious, and usually fixable there and then.
Landlords have a further duty: in England a rented home needs an EICR at least every five years and before a new tenancy. All work is tested to BS 7671.
For anything that is not an emergency, we book planned work around you, including inspections, board changes and remedial work following a report.
