WELCOME TO
Our team covers Midhurst and the neighbouring West Sussex villages 24 hours a day. Pricing is agreed before work starts and everything we do is certified to current standards.
Callouts across Midhurst are answered 24 hours a day. Our vans carry the parts for the faults we see most often here, so a repair does not usually mean a second appointment.
Work ranges from emergency electrical repairs in the middle of the night to planned jobs such as consumer unit replacement. Everything is tested to BS 7671 and certified to suit the work carried out.
Anything involving heat, scorching or a smell of burning is treated as an emergency and made safe on arrival, whatever time it is.
We will fault find and resolve the issue if it can be resolved on the spot. With 25 years experience in fault finding we believe there isn't an issue which we can't solve. Some issues may need a revisit due to the deterioration of the cabling, and where that happens we will always explain your options clearly before any further work begins.

FAQ'S
All of our services are backed by our 100% satisfaction guarantee and delivered by our qualified electricians.
No. There is no call-out charge and our rates are the same evenings, weekends and bank holidays. The price is agreed with you before any work starts.
Yes. Long submains out to garages, workshops and annexes are a common source of faults, especially where the cable is buried or has been extended over the years. We test the run and repair or replace as needed.
A board that trips is doing its job. It is usually a faulty appliance, water where it should not be, or a damaged cable. Testing identifies the circuit, and where an old board puts everything on one RCD, moving to RCBOs means only the faulty circuit goes off next time. See RCD tripping.
We make it safe, explain what we have found and give you the options in writing. That might be a partial rewire of one circuit rather than the whole property, or consumer unit replacement where the board is the weak point.
Switch that circuit off at the board, stop using it and call us. Heat and smell mean a connection is failing, which is the kind of job covered under burning smells and dangerous electrics, and we treat it as an emergency.
Inter-war and post-war housing on the edges and period houses under conservation control make up much of the housing here, and both bring their own problems. Commercial premises with flats above, where circuits were split without a clean separation adds to it.
In practice that means a flat above a commercial unit losing power with no obvious cause, dead sockets, or lighting that fails on one floor. Our engineers carry the instruments to trace it and the parts to repair most of it the same day.
Every callout includes a visual inspection, testing of the circuit and a clear explanation of the cause.
…and if we can resolve and fix or (identify the issue if the circuit needs rewiring). The cost ends there.
We have structured our pricing in 4 easy categories, so the customer and ourselves understand the costs involved.

MIDHURST
Midhurst is a market town of timber-framed and Georgian buildings, and that shapes the electrical work here more than anything else. Commercial premises with flats above, where circuits were split without a clean separation is the factor that shapes most of the emergency work we are called out for.
The housing runs to inter-war and post-war housing on the edges, flats carved out of former commercial floors and period houses under conservation control, and each was wired to the standards of its day. Additions made since, from extensions to garden supplies, are often where the weak point turns out to be.
Ownership complicates things too. Where a house has been split into flats, or an outbuilding brought into use, circuits get shared in ways nobody records, and a fault in one part can take out another.
The result is predictable enough: a flat above a commercial unit losing power with no obvious cause. Testing turns that from a guess into a known circuit and a known cause.
Landlords have a further duty: in England a rented home needs an EICR at least every five years and before a new tenancy. All work is tested to BS 7671.
Where a fault turns out to be part of a bigger problem, we will say so, price the options and let you decide. Nothing gets replaced that does not need replacing.
We also cover Petworth, Fernhurst and Pulborough.
