WELCOME TO
We are called out to Withyham for everything from a single blown circuit to a full loss of supply. The installation is made safe first, then tested, then repaired.
Most callouts here begin with a board tripping every time the weather closes in. Rather than swapping parts and hoping, we test circuit by circuit until the cause is isolated, then explain what we have found before doing the work.
Typical jobs across Withyham run from power loss and tripping and RCD tripping through to fuse box repairs, and where a board is beyond economic repair we can quote for consumer unit replacement.
Prices are agreed before work starts, there is no call-out charge, and the rate is the same at night and at weekends.
We will fault find and resolve the issue if it can be resolved on the spot. With 25 years experience in fault finding we believe there isn't an issue which we can't solve. Some issues may need a revisit due to the deterioration of the cabling, and where that happens we will always explain your options clearly before any further work begins.

FAQ'S
All of our services are backed by our 100% satisfaction guarantee and delivered by our qualified electricians.
All of it, along with Hartfield, Crowborough and Forest Row and the rest of East Sussex. Lines are open 24/7 on 0333 360 8583.
We work on the fixed installation rather than appliances, but part of the job is proving which of the two has failed, so you are not buying a new cooker to fix a circuit fault.
Yes. Flickering usually means a loose connection somewhere, and loose connections generate heat. It is much cheaper to find it early than after it has burnt an accessory out. See lighting faults.
Treat it as urgent if there is any heat, discolouration or smell at the board or an accessory. Otherwise it normally means one circuit has failed, and we can trace it with electrical fault finding.
For an emergency, someone needs to let us in and show us what happened. After that you are welcome to leave us to it. We will walk you through what we found before we go.
Two things drive the callouts we get from Withyham. The first is large plots where the incoming supply and the outbuildings are a long way apart. The second is simply time: cable, accessories and boards all have a service life, and a great deal of what is still in use is past it.
Together they produce a board tripping every time the weather closes in. It is rarely mysterious once the circuits are tested.
We make safe, test, explain and repair, in that order, at any hour of the day or night.
…and if we can resolve and fix or (identify the issue if the circuit needs rewiring). The cost ends there.
We have structured our pricing in 4 easy categories, so the customer and ourselves understand the costs involved.

WITHYHAM
Withyham is a scattered forest parish of lanes, lodges and farms, and that shapes the electrical work here more than anything else. Large plots where the incoming supply and the outbuildings are a long way apart is the factor that shapes most of the emergency work we are called out for.
The housing runs to stable blocks and garaging, annexes and home offices on separate supplies and period cottages and lodges, and each was wired to the standards of its day. Additions made since, from extensions to garden supplies, are often where the weak point turns out to be.
Age is only half of it. The other half is load: kitchens, showers and heating that draw far more than the original design allowed for, on circuits that were never uprated to match.
The result is predictable enough: a board tripping every time the weather closes in. Testing turns that from a guess into a known circuit and a known cause.
Landlords have a further duty: in England a rented home needs an EICR at least every five years and before a new tenancy. All work is tested to BS 7671.
We would always rather look at something early. A flickering light or a socket that feels warm is a cheap visit now and an expensive one later.
We also cover Hartfield, Crowborough and Forest Row.
