Always. The price is agreed up front and does not change unless the job does, in which case we stop and talk to you first.
Yes, across West Sussex, including out-of-hours tenant callouts. In England a rented home needs EICR safety certificates at least every five years and before a new tenancy.
Yes. If you have a specific problem we test that circuit and report on it. A full EICR safety certificates is a separate, more thorough piece of work and we will tell you if it is the better option.
Often it is. Homes without gas run heaters and immersions on an off-peak circuit, and when a timeswitch, contactor or the off-peak supply fails the heaters look broken when they are not. Worth testing the circuit before replacing anything.

Basic call out 9.30am – 3pm which would not be within an hour would be £110
*When there will be any rewiring, we will specify works and extra costs before any extra work would commence.
Also rates are multiplied by 1.5 for any weekend works

Start with the buildings. Wisborough Green is a green-centred village in the north of the county, and each phase of building brought its own wiring standards. Homes off the gas network running electric heating and immersion circuits is the factor that shapes most of the emergency work we are called out for.
The housing runs to post-war infill around the older core, farmhouses with generations of additions and modern barn-style new builds, and each was wired to the standards of its day. Additions made since, from extensions to garden supplies, are often where the weak point turns out to be.
Age is only half of it. The other half is load: kitchens, showers and heating that draw far more than the original design allowed for, on circuits that were never uprated to match.
What that produces, in practice, is a fault in an oast or barn conversion that drops the main house too. It is rarely mysterious once the circuits are tested, and it is usually repairable on the first visit.

We would always rather look at something early. A flickering light or a socket that feels warm is a cheap visit now and an expensive one later.
