Yes. Emergency repairs and testing are the same job in a listed building as anywhere else, but the routes matter: chasing lime plaster or fixing surface containment to historic fabric can need listed building consent, which is a matter between the owner and Lewes District Council. We work with what is already there wherever we can, and agree anything invasive with you before starting.
It can. Where water has reached socket outlets, cable ends or a consumer unit, corrosion settles into the terminals and moisture can track through cable long after everything looks dry. It often shows up as an RCD that trips for no obvious reason. We would not assume it of any particular installation - a visual inspection and circuit testing on the affected circuits is what confirms it.

LEWES, EAST SUSSEX
Lewes sits inside one of the largest conservation areas in the county, with timber-framed Tudor buildings on the High Street and Georgian fronts faced in mathematical tiles. Behind them there are no cavities and few straight runs, so cables have been threaded wherever they would go, with later additions layered over earlier work.
